This happened to me once and I found that my reciever would just shut down. make sure that you have plenty of space above the amp. it may be over heating and shutting down on you and when it cools down, it turns back on. there will most likely the "overload" light will be lit when it shuts down the audio.

hope that helps

I have a Denon AVR 1707 reciever. I am trying to connect my dvd player through RGB cables. The sound works just fine when i turn the reciever to dvd but there is no video. I have the component 2 set to dvd...

The video cables--the green, blue, and red ones must be connected from the video OUT portion of the DVD player to the Component 2 video IN of the Denon. It could be the handshake between your Denon and your television. Do you have anything else to connect to the Denon to see if you get a picture? How are you connecting the Denon to the television? Make sure you have your television on the proper input and check the cables going between it and the Denon.

Problem with the Denon AVR-4802 7.1 Channels Receiver Denon avr-4802 h/p input issues. Ads by Google Custom Cable Installation www.consolidateddatacom.com/Network and Data Cabling for your business....

you need to find a headphones, put a drop of contact cleaner on headphone plug and plug it into receiver's h/p input several times. It cleanes internal h/p connector contacts and unit will work fine. If doen't help the receiver most likely has bad h/p connector soldering.

Connected denon avr 1800 reciever to new hd tv. i cant find my reciever manual. how do i set the reciever to play the tv sound?

If you connect your tv's audio output to the reciever's audio input in the (TVor video section) using audio cables only---red & black or red & white) then select TV or Video on the front of the reciever depending on which connection on the back that you use it should work fine!!

No sound from Sub.... from my Denon AVR-2700, not AVR-3300, Yeah its old!

if the subwoofer is on in the reciecer settings then maybe the amp is not getting the signal or the amp is not amplifying
try unplugging the output of the sub then turn off the reciever for a min. then turn it on wait , then plug the sub in
if that don't work then test the sub output with a stereo that has a audio input
also test the subwoofer with a audio output to it( only a positive and a negitive wire for sub)

Denon AVR-3600, Sound issue on one side only

sounds like you may have a bad tweeter in your speaker. change the right and left speakers and see if the problem persists in that same speaker. if so, you have a bad speaker.
