Re: ps3 wont load any games
Wow, someone who tried a lens cleaner first before asking, cool!!! Alright, it still sounds like it might be the laser lens, but the dust is probably built up a bit more than a lens cleaner can deal with. This happens, and it sucks. But seeing as both your systems are still fairly new, they should also both still be under warranty, Contact sony and see about getting them repaired. Your only other option would be to open the cases and clean the lens' by hand with a Q-tip and some Iso Alcohol VERY CAREFULLY.

It's a Sony
defect with the blu-ray lasers. They only last 1-3 years with average
use. If your PS3 is less than a year old and you still have the
original receipt Sony will repair the problem for free. Otherwise
they're going to charge you $150 for the repair. You can reach them at:
Unless you have a technical background in
electronics there's nothing I would suggest doing. A firmware update
and or CD /DVD cleaner disk will do nothing for your problem. I've
fixed more than 100 PS3's with this exact problem so I know exactly
what I'm talking about.
If you're just out of warranty by a few days sometimes Sony will do a courtesy repair. It doesn't hurt to ask.
The same problem happened to me yesterday, i was playing GTA IV then it suddenly stopped reading, and now i have a real hard time making one ps3 game work...the ps2 and psONE games work fine, but the ps3 ones dont load or take real hard work to make them load.
Do you work for Enercon, the company that makes Corona treaters? I have been working with them for over 15 years at Cryovac.
This may or may not solve your problem. Turn the power off. Then, Press and hold the 1/0 button for more than 10 seconds. Then turn your PS3 off again. Turn it back on to see if it reset the problem.
