Question about Bamix Gastro 200 Handheld Blender

Open Question

Bamix hand held mixer blade won't come off

I want to remove the blade which you turn and depress at the same time taking it out of its little wedge but the rod it is on is not stationary and thus the blade is not coming off...I have very limited space for any tool the hold the rod stationary and I doubt that it is intended to be done that way...but out of ideas..can't use other attachments til I can remove the blade...

try to gently twist the blade up and around the shaft with a pair of pliers. I've loosened mine by pushing and pulling on the blade with the pliers. be sure to use caution so as not to wreck the blade.

I recently burnt out the circuit board for my Bamix M133 stick mixer and thus need to know where I can get a replacement

You could email bamix.com.au. The motors have a 20 year warranty I think. Get a quote before any repairs , as some times replacement is the best option.

You are lucky. they usually fall off mine.
However you can gently ease them off with small needle nosed pliers.

Rusting blade

Why don't you just clean it?
Very carefully use a soap pad, and then dry thoroughly. remember to dry thoroughly after every use, and wipe a little veggie oil on the blades with a paper towel.

Use the A blade and make sure whatever you are mixing the egg whites in is scrupulously free from any grease etc. Make sure the bowl is clean and dry before you use it.

I have a bamix M200 hand blender & the shaft does not turn although the motor is working can you help?

After a period of time food residue will migrate up through the seal on the "foot" and lodge in the shaft. Once this is gummer up the motor will go but the shaft will not be able to rotate.

The machine will need to be disassembled and the shaft cleaned out. I recommend that you find your local Bamix Service Centre to do this as there are fragile parts in the stick mixer.

Bamix stick blender Handle vibrates but shaft does not turn

Old food residue and juices will have got into the shaft bearings, and have dried out enough in 9 years to stop it turning. Starting with the simplest solution, try immersing the shaft in hot, or even boiling, water nearly up to the top of the metal shaft. CAUTION - DON'T BURN YOURSELF! Let it stand in the water for a few hours, and then try turning the shaft by hand (with the machine unplugged, of course). This could be repeated a number of times. You may also be able to unscrew the blade guard after this treatment, bear in mind it has a left hand thread, so if you are looking at it from the bottom, turn it clockwise to loosen. Be careful not to lose any seals or springs when it comes off.

If this doesn't work, support the Bamix upside down, and pour a small amount of WD-40 into the blade guard, so that it pools around the end of the shaft. Leave to stand, and the oil should slowly seep into the bearings, dissolving the food residues. Again, try this a few times.

If neither of these work, the Bamix will need to be dismantled to clean the shaft and bearings. This is really beyond the scope of this forum and requires some experience of this type of work.

My hand mixer stopped working.

Have you tried greasing it near the blade. I read in my instruction book that sometimes they seize if they aren't used often. They also suggest trying to soak the wand in a pot of hot water for a minute or two and then trying to use it in the water. Hope this helps
