Cartridge errors..cartridge incorrect

I took my black cartridge in to be refilled. I came home and put it in the printer and now I keep getting a msg saying that the right cartridge, which is the black, is the incorrect cartridge. I take it out, put it back in and still get the same msg. I've double checked just to make sure I got the right cartridge back and yes, it is. I've turned the printer on and off and sometimes when I turn it back on I get a msg saying that the cartridge door is open, so I check it and its closed. I open it, take the cartridges out, close them again, turn the printer off, then back on, then I get the msg saying the right cartridge is incorrect. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

    This was the first time in refilling the cartridge. I have another black cartridge that is out of ink and if I put that one in, instead of the refilled one, I then just get a msg of 'check cartridge'. I no longer get the incorrect msg. Hope this helps.

Refilling cartridges wont reset the error message you are getting but you can still print documents .the only way to fix that problem is using original cartridges.hope this helps.

Sounds like they're the type of cartridges that cannot be refilled, due to the computer chip on them.

were they 'refilled' cartridges ? Lexmarks are sensitive to that...they have a chip in their tanks that you have to change/reset....you can't just refill them with ink.

Just replaced the black ink PGBK on my Cannon MP810 printer and kept getting error msg "wrong printer head". Took printer head to World Cartridge and they cleaned but still get the same msg....


Dont go to Cartridge World :(. This problem is sometimes caused when a cartridge has been re-filled and re-set too many times, The chip corrupts and causes some very weird messages. Simply try a New Set of Cartridges (Not reconditioned or Refilled). GnL Products in NSW have new compatible cartridges for about $10 each. gnlproducts@live.com.au

I had my black ink cartridge refilled professionally, and printed several pages before receiving an "Error: Incorrect Cartridge" message. The printer is also making a loud grunting sound when I turn it on...


you have 2 different problems
1)  "Error: Incorrect Cartridge"  you get cause your cartridge had air bubbles inside and that damage the printhead
air bubbles must be removed before use ether with a vacuum refill or a refill clip as this video

2) the loud grunting sound you get it either couse the cartridges are stuck or cause paper is stuck in the paper path and do nt let the cartridge carrier to move free

Refillied black ink cart. causes error.


The ink cartridge is bad get a new one after a few times of refilling the ink cartridge they go bad. Hope this helps ya

Incorrect right cartridge


Ive tried removing the right cartridge so I can print in black, but now , once I refilled the black one, it wont even let me print black!! this is desperate; can anyone help?

Left Cartidge incorrect


Hi, remvoe the black ink cartridge , dip the cartridge in luke warm water for 30 secs , clean the cartridge and unplug the power adapter from the printer , wait for a minute and then reconnect it back , put back the cartridge and then look for the error msg , if it stil displays the same error then its an issue with the cartridge and needs to be replaced..

Dell All-in-one 924 error: "right cartridge is incorrect"


Hi ,
if you are getting the error msg 12203 , pperform the following steps,
remove both the cartridges from the printer and unplug the power adapter ( black box) from the back panel of the printer, clean the cartridges using a damp cloth .

initially put only the black cartridge and then turn on the system , it will give you the error msg right cartridge missing, you can ignore it and try copying a document .

remove the black cartridge and put the color one in, and then try printing.

during the printing with any of the cartridge inside the printer if it gives out the error msg 1203 then that cartridge has to be replaced...

Hi ,
if you are getting the msg color cartridge missing , maku sure that it is compatible with your printer , on the cartridges you will get the part no M4646/J5566 , look for those part no's and if it is giving the error msg on the LCD display of the printer , try using the old cartridge ...try the following steps
1) put the old cartridge in and then unplug the power adapter (Black box ) from the printer.

2) wait for 30 seconds and put back the power adapter and turn on the printer, and look for the msg on the printer display. if it gives the same error msg with the old as well as the new color cartridge then its an issue with the printer , and if it does not gives the error msg with the older one then its an issue with the cartridge and if you have purchase the cartridge from dell online/phone then call them back give the order no of the cartridge that u have purchased and they will replace it.

Incorrect colour cartridge error


Here is a possible solution to the dell printer BS when I bought replacement cartridge for the black I didn't want or need the color. When I attempted to replace it would say unsupported cartridge on the computer screen and right cartrige error or w/ever it said. who cares . It is a S C A M but if you only need black try this... Take a hammer and smash the printer NO DON"T ... Roofer joke. Seriously though just remove the color cartridge and snap it shut empty with the black " replacement cartridge " snapped in and your good to go in black and white. I bought my replacement cartridge at
( S T A P L E S ) no one has one better. good luck sorry if it doesnt work for you I'm only saying that it worked for me. P.S. Thank you and "DUDE I'M NOT GETTING A DELL"!!
