Well sence you are handy its power in thru the door switches then power will leave at some place from the timer to the motor.your wiring diagram would have that info.if you dont google your model or brand and see what comes up .it has be my pasted experance that the boards went bad not motors.but you may have some switches to go thru also[ie.door etc] thanks for using fixya

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

I too am not familiar with your model as either they have a different model number or a version/variation of the Bosch SMU2000 in my country.

Still, with your indulgence, a couple of ideas you may want to consider, explore and check:

  • door switch - as the name implies senses the condition of the door which is a pre-requisite prior to activation of anything else of the timer board. The dorr maybe physically closed by the door latch but electrically still open either because the door switch is defective or the tab engaging the door switch is mis-alignment, defective or missing. In some Bosch models, the door switch is a small red plastic button covered by a translucent piece of another plastic;
  • the timer itself (likely) - unfortunately no easy test procedure;
  • there would be a tech sheet with a wiring diagram somewhere on the machine. Often found in the bottom/kick panel. The wiring diagram culd be reference to trace the current flow in the circuitry.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy New Year.

Sounds like the timer is bad. The timer motor is not replaceable and you have to order the whole timer.

- The part number for the timer is AP2802778

Hi My Bosh dishwasher is model SMU 7056UC The water is not out of the bottom of the unit, when the cycle is complete it is still cloudy. What do we do? What part number do we need for the door seal...

Hi
either your dishwasher has a blocked filter or a blocked water outlet. Some dishwashers will reset if you can unblock the pump or outlet where it goes to waste. You will need to bail out the water first, then pull out all the filters and clean them and if you can check nothing is jambing the impeller in the pump. Normally toothpicks, chicken bones etc. Sometimes it is blocked where it connects to the s bend under the sink. Just undo it and check it is clear and then reconnect it.
If you clear it and it does not restart you will need a serviceman
cheers

Dishwasher won't fill on start

Check the following to address this issue.

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

Cleaning Cycle not Starting

Please provide the model number and the approximate age of the dishwasher.
If this diswasher uses a turning dial to select the cycle, which turns as the dishwasher progresses, I strongly suspect that this timer has failed and needs replacement. Especially since the soap door never opens. Does the dishwasher drain during and at the end of the full cycle?

Dishwasher does not turn on

I believe if you look closly, you will see the G is actually a Q. So the valid model number is DU980QPDQ3.
This model has a controller module (CNTRL-ELEC $188.00 US) that includes the buttons in the door panel. The logic/control begins there and communicated with the display and the timer/timer motor.
Depending on the age of the unit, you need to choose between repair or replacement. Good Luck!

Dish washer not working, lights come on but nothing happens, will not drain water that is in there either.

flooding the sink won't have anything to do with the dishwasher.unless the check valve on the dishwasher got stuck closed. Can you hear the pump come on?

Washer not cycling

I manually turned the impeller on the motor and "broke it loose". I found out if you don't use the washer for even a small period of time the motor may do this.
