Can't come outta hibernation... hard drive crashing after 20 days
This is the 2nd Asus x83v in a total of 3 days.
The first hard drive crashed in 20 days... and this new one can't come out of hibernation now and keeps shutting down a computer game.
HELP US! I'm really starting to hate this thing! That and I don't know if it's Vista doing this...
We have the same computer game on 2 other Toshiba's with XP... No problems there. ONLY WITH THE ASUS WITH VISTA!

Well it might be that your asking too much from your laptops graphics card. My solution would be installing a later fersion of direct x. Also some other hot keys to try are: ctrl + shift + esc. And : alt + tab or f4. Hope this helps.
If the operating system program was all that crashed, then yes, you may be able to recover data. If the hard drive itself failed totally, then your only possible option is to take it to a data recovery specialist. They can often recover data off these devices as they have special tools and software to do it. They are expensive, though, so unless the data you are looking to recover is very important to you, it;s probably not worth the cost. Now if the hard rive itself still runs, but just won't run Windows, you can remove the hard drive and connect to to another PC as an add-on drive and access the files that way.
Backup your programs immediately to a thumb drive or external HD. The hard drive may be on the brink of failing. You can replace a hard drive, it's your information thats on it that you may not be able to if it totally crashes!
plaese check motherboard setting and then boot setting check ....set the booting order is as 1st hard drive 2nd cdrom 3rd other etc. then save this setting and reboot.... try it i think it is solved.if still unsolved then check the plug hard drive.
