Can't come outta hibernation... hard drive crashing after 20 days

This is the 2nd Asus x83v in a total of 3 days.
The first hard drive crashed in 20 days... and this new one can't come out of hibernation now and keeps shutting down a computer game.
HELP US! I'm really starting to hate this thing! That and I don't know if it's Vista doing this...
We have the same computer game on 2 other Toshiba's with XP... No problems there. ONLY WITH THE ASUS WITH VISTA!

Please... WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!

I have an ASUS U52F series, and every time I launch Empire: Total war. The Game crashes my computer on startup, nothing works, not ctrl+alt+delete , I've even let it sit for 3 hours, and nothing

Well it might be that your asking too much from your laptops graphics card. My solution would be installing a later fersion of direct x. Also some other hot keys to try are: ctrl + shift + esc. And : alt + tab or f4. Hope this helps.

Hitachi hard disk model no. Dk23ba-20 crached. it isnot working. is theire any way to make it workable.

It depends on your definition of "crashed" -- if it still spins and works, but the copy of Windows stored on the disk no longer successfully boots into Windows, that's one type of "crash",
and you can recover (by reinstalling Windows).

If it does not spin, or nothing can be read from the disk, that's another type of "crash",
and it's usually a "fatal" problem -- the hardware will never work again.

However, there exist professional "data recovery" services, that can repair your disk-drive,
just long-enough to _once_ read your files and copy them to a new disk-drive.
Example: http://www.seagate.com has "no-charge-if-we-cannot-recover-your-files".

Windows xp crashes when western digital hard drive is plugged in

i wish i knew the answer, i am having the same problem. i have switched ALL of my toshiba computer power settings to no stand-by, no hibernation, no automatic shut down (as this was suggested) and windows xp still turns into a blank screen just a few seconds after plugging this in. hard drive too strong for my 3.5 year old computer? not sure, but this is beyond ridiculous.

Hard drive crashed installed new drive but have no drivers to boot the operating system,

plaese check motherboard setting and then boot setting check ....set the booting order is as
1st hard drive
2nd cdrom
3rd other etc.
then save this setting and reboot....
try it i think it is solved.if still unsolved then check the plug hard drive.

Asus x83v screen is black and has vertical lines on half of it.

As the product is under a year old it should be covered under warranty. Get in touch with asus customer services before you let anyone attempt a repair as doing so may invalidate your warranty

Hard drive.

since that it crashed, it is more practical that you reformat it, rather than buying new one. it is the system crashed not the whole hard disk and there is a great chance of reviving it , you have the recovery disk with you, then better use it than buying.

have a nice day

Hard Drive Problem

Sounds like your hard drive is crashed. You will most likely need to replace it. Before it gets totally crashed try to backup your important data while it is running.

Hope this helps you
