Re: buzzing under and freezer stopped cooling
The buzzing noise u can hear is the motor compressor tying to start up. It is drawing too much current due to probable seizure of motor or faulty start relay, this is causing the overload protector to operate, and what u can hear is the motor trying to start. the overload then resets and the motor trys to start again.
Unfortunately this is not a D.I.Y job, you need to call a specialist.

Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out thelast two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to starttrouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then callinga repair person to do a simple thing for you...

Your water line could be frozen in
the door. You can disconnect the line at the bottom before it goes into the
door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out
there. If it does, leave the
door open till it thaws. If it doesn't come out there disconnect
it at the water inlet valve and see if it comes out there. The valve could
be bad. A strainer before the inlet valve
can also get stopped up restricting flow.
probably the water valve is not shutting of completly . this will flood the tray and then run over into the bucket. try // i would replace water valve . if this does not correct prob. replace the ice mker head as it time's the fill..
Hi, Usually when this happens it is because of a problem with the fan that moves cold air from the freezer section of your unit to the refrigerator section. Either the fan has gone bad or the unit has frosted up to the point of stopping the fan. Try defrosting (unplugging) the unit over night and then check it to see if the fan runs. If not then replace the fan. If it runs and then stops after awhile like days or even a few weeks, then you may need a defrost timer.
I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!
Sounds like your fill valve is stuck in the filling position...see if you you have water standing in it a couple hrs after a drain cycle. if it does then the valve needs to be replaced or you can take it apart carefully,(there is a sping that might fly out and get lost) and clean it. Mine had some small trash in it from the city water line.. The left side has an over flow hole is where your water is coming from..
This sounds like a cold water supply problem that's usually caused by a problem at the water inlet valve. First, remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve. Make sure they are not clogged with rust or debris. Next, check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid and the water inlet valve assy will need to be replaced. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helps and best wishes.
It happenedn to my performa fridge just yesterday. It was bought in 2005. Now there is humming and clicking sound from the lower back side once in a while and the fridge is not cold. the compressor is hot/warm and it seems to be where the noise is coming from.
It might have a small stone or something similar in the water soleniod valve or it might just be sticking open somewhat. I'd go ahead and change the cold water soleniod valve because it's not closing itself and shutting off the water flow.
