The Dell Latitude D630 base system has an integrated graphics card.
On the bottom of your computer should be a service tag # and express service code. If you'd like to respond with that information I would be happy to find out what the exact configuration and hardware your computer origanally had, but most likely you'll not be able to change the graphics card without changing the whole motherboard if at all possible.
Let me know if this helps

Dell Latitude D630 Laptop, no Bootable device when trying to start laptop, but hard drive works find on other computer usb drive

It sounds like you have lost the boot manager file. The boot manager is a file set up by Windows to stop hackers from getting in to your system and if a problem occurs it is deleted by Windows.
When you try to boot and the desktop gets to POST, teh Dell page, quicklt hit F8
When, and it will take a few goes to get the timing right, you are succesfull a DOS menu will be shown on your screen
Select repair and follow the instructions.
Hope this helps.

No sound on my pc

Go to Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices
Ensure that sound card is the default playback and default recording device.
Also, if this is a Dimension 5100, then there is a possibility that the system has a upgrade sound card installed in a PCI expansion slot (Below the video card)
If the system has an expansion card, (Soundblaster) then the integrated on-board audio should be disabled in the BIOS (If integrated is on and an expansion card is installed, you get a conflict and no sound) Normally, if the system has an expansion card, the ports are covered with a black plastic cover. If the BIOS defaults are ever reset, then onboard audio needs to be disabled again.

Only caps lock just blinking on my dell latitude d630

Try reseating the RAM modules. They should be inserted at a 30 degree angle till the gold contact are completely in the slot, then pressed down till they latch in place, then just the edge of the contacts should be visible.

Dell Latitude D630 usb ports quit working.

Give this a try:
Here is what you can do to refresh the USB ports:
1. Right click MY COMPUTER
2. Select PROPERTIES
3. Select HARDWARE
4. Select DEVICE MANAGER
5. Select UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS
6. Right click on each USB CONTROLLER and select Uninstall
7. Uninstall all entries
8. Reboot your computer
9. As your computer re-boots it will reinstall all USB connections it detects
THEN, when all other USB items have been configured and connected by the system, you then should try connecting your USB drive.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Dell Dimension 4600 creative sound blaster card

It sounds like you may have broken your sound card. I had the same problem when I tried to digitise my old 4-track recordings.
I tried the broken card in another PC, found that it was not working, so I went out and bought a new sound card.

Hi i wanted to buy laptop please assist me

Depends on what you are wanting to do. Just internet and email then I would get a HP from Walmart and buy the 2 year warranty from Walmart. Want to play games I would check into a Dell XPS or alienware.

Have no sound on computor, wont play cds dvds or anything, have checked all volume levels etc dont even get start up tune, problem has only just started until last month i had all sounds etc

Hello,
This could be caused by the sound either being muted or not installed correctly. To check to see if it disabled, look to see if theres a yellow speaker in the bottom right corner next to the time with a red circle with a slash through it. If thats there it means that the sound is muted. If you have xp, you can double click the speaker and there should be a option there that says Muted. Just uncheck that.
If the speaker isnt there it could be that the sound card is turned of in the device manager. To check this, you can click Start > Run > and type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. This will open device manager. Look for Sound Video and Game Controllers and see if theres a red x on thst section that means it disabled. You msy hsve to double click the sectio to see the actual card. The easiest way to correct thats if its a Dell, Gateway, HP,etc is to right click where the red x is and left click Uninstall or remove. After that you should see the card disappear from the device manager. After that happens you can restart the machine and it should say Found New Hardware and it will automatically reinstall the drivers.
If the machine isnt a pre-manufactured maachine like Dell, Gateway, HP, etc, you will need to make sure that you have the driver that camewith the card when it was installed.
Thanks
