Let me know the error message. Go down further on the error message check for numeric code. If you see ''02". I'm sorry you need a qualified personnel to do the job. if it shows "03" keep the cassette door open(5 sec or more and make sure to put power on it) and wait until it open.If it ejected, try with another tape, it could be your tape causes problem. problem on ccd assamble u have chaing that part...first open urcamera and remove lense unit ..then u can c back side of lensunit there i a small board..u remove that board from lens unit...and u can c the ccd assamble....
try some of the XP drivers on here although which one will work is trial and error as your cam is quite old and unlisted, but one of them must work for you, fingers crossed!!
JVC has acknowledged a fault on their side that will cause certain models to display the "lens cap" error, and they offer free repairs, your model is also on the list. Here's a link to the JVC site :
