Question about Rival 38601 Smart Pot 6-Quart
I have the Rival 38601 Smart Pot 6-Quart and the first time we used it we kept smelling a weird smell...the only way i can discribe it is like a metalic smell. we just thought it was what we were cooking and i havent used it since. Well i just pulled it out and put a roast in and i smell the same thing. Was i supposed to do something to the slow cooker before i used it or is this thing just being stupid??
I had a similar smell coming from my crock Pot when I used it the first couple of times. After about the second or third time, the smell went away. I always figured it was the metals and such heating up to such a high temperature for the first time.
It never seemed to effect the taste fo the food....and my family is still alive!! :)
Hope this helps!
