White vinegar is the only thing I know of that completely removes the smell of urine. The smell of the vinegar stays for a couple of days, but then disappears.

How can I prevent mildew/slime in the agitators of LG a front-load washer?

Use powdered soap, not liquid and do not use fabric softener. Use plain white vinegar in softener dispenser in place of softener. Liquid soap and softener both leave residue, which buildsup to a film which molds/mildews. The vinegar is slightly acidic which kills mold/mildew and also helps release soap film from your clothes leaving them cleaner.

Mold in Kenmore Series 80 washer

You most likely have mold/crud on the top outer edge of the drum and even the tub it sits in from years of soap and water splashing up and sticking, The cleaners probably cannot reach those areas, You will have to take off the cabinet and clean all that off (should be videos on YT on how to take it apart)

Awful smell coming from refrg. ge told me there is no drip pan that i can access. any other solutions? model MBF1956KEG

I live in a trailer park and i didn't have a fridge. A neighbour went to a nursing home and left everything behind so i salvaged his fridge. He was taken by ambulance in january and by march or april i got the fridge. Everything in it had spoiled. The stench of rotted meat was very bad. The smell was similar to a slaughterhouse. Meat juices had gotten in-between the plastic panels. I washed what i could outside using quadrated ammonia, even TSP and hot water... nothing solved the problem. I reasoned that i needed ozone to destroy the smell. They rent ozone machines but a product like fabreeze is made of ozone so i tried that. I had to spray it a couple times over a few days using the one for surfaces. The smell completely disappeared.

We have a dometic Duo-Therm model# 600315.321 mounted on our 25' RV we purchased in 2005. We recently noticed a faint smell of buring oil emitting from the vents when operating. My husband seems to...

I'm sure you are aware of the fact that any odors inside the RV, can be drawn in through ceiling assembly at filter and recirculated through duct work etc. With that said, first try taking down the filter at the ceiling and washing it well in water and dish soap, or for the sake of a few $'s, replace it. If that doesn't cure it, then for the sake of safety, remove cover over AC unit on roof and do a careful visual inspection of all wiring, components and especially connections at capacitors as they are prone to get hot and melt plastic in those areas, thus giving off a burning smell. Also be aware that capacitors are very, very , dangerous to handle if not experienced, so please alert whoever does inspect them, that touching them can result in a very high voltage shock, which can be fatal. !!

Funky smell coming from bottom of frig when running

Is it a musty smell or that of something / (rodent) decomposing? If you only smell it when it is running then look for BLACK gunk that will probably appear almost like a paste. Even things like cat or dog hair will collect in damp areas. There should be a white plastic drip pan under your unit. Look for the freezer white plastic drain hose on the rear bottom of your unit on the freezer side and follow that hose to the drip pan. It catches water every time the unit defrosts which is 3 - 4 times a day depending on which defrost timer your unit has.

Usually there is a build up in the drip pan that gets mucky and then stinks like mold. It will of course need cleaned.

Also look at the fan area for the coils. Sometimes there are unwanterd home critters that attempt to get through the running fan blades and end dead up inside the cooling coil metal radiator area.
