Koss cdp4045 cd player won't regonize new cd

I have a koss cdp4045 personal cd player that won't regonize a new audiobook cd. The motor rotates, then it displays 'no disc' and won't play. It playes musical cds and cd-r's just fine. The audiobook cd is the only one that it won't play. The audiobook is compact disc format. Does it mean that the player is going bad?

It might be to old if not make a copy of the disk try again if not get a new cd player for £3.50

My Craig ESP 60S Portable CD Player won't work. It starts spinning then stops. I have tried mode and program, but nothing helps. This is my second Craig CD player to do this.

sounds like it has a faulty laser and it wont read so the player stops the cd spin motor. try cleaning it and see if it works

Does it happen only with that specific CD? Try playing another CD and see if problem persists.
If it does - get a new CD player; If not, your audiobook CD might be damaged/scratched... Try getting another copy of it.

Can I record from a cassette player to the koss

should be able to go directly from tape out of cass deck to input of your koss, as long it has line level inputs (which it should). from there its play on the tape and record on the cd rcrdr. seems the simplest solution
