-   Upgraded to WLM 2009. Since then, WML has not worked properly. Have tried uninstall/reinstall, uninstall/downgrade to 8.5.
Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. Seems to have something to do with how busy net internet is. When school is out, it is worse. Is the new release taxing the system too much?
Wish the WLM guys would remember the old saying"ïf it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
This WLM problem also seems to have affected the Google Video Chat.
What gives?

-   Is not a problem with anybody's webcam, is something with the new msn messenger sms beta. Same thing has happen to me since I download the latest version. My webcam was working perfectly! and I'm hearing a lot of fellas with the same situation, but tyhe real thing is that it has to do with the msn.

This sucks!-   Guest

I fixed it!
Your webcams are being blocked by a program on your computer, quite possibly a firewall.
On my laptop it was McAfee. I had a 60 day free trial which I think came with my laptop.
If you go to the start menu, control panel, control panel home, uninstall a program and then double click McAfee. You then have to tick all of the boxes to uninstall it entirely. This will allow you to use your webcam with MSN, but if you havent downloaded/purchased anti-virus software your computer will be at risk.
If you dont have any anti-virus software I would get some :)
You could find a free program to download from the internet or you could buy one.

Hope it helped!

I have the same problem on Acer Aspire 5735, its really annoying!
I also can't view other people's webcams.
I don't know about your webcam but mine isn't broken cos it works fine when I open the webcam software thing.
Someone suggested a firewall may be blocking Windows Live Messenger but I have checked Windows Firewall and its not that that is causing the problem.
