Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I'm asking this question on behalf of my poor gamer husband who is at work, but is about to have a freak-out over this. Our PS3 has been freezing a lot lately, especially while playing Fallout 3. Yesterday my husband tried a different game out for the first time (Sonic Unleashed) and it froze during that game as well.
Another problem we're having is that when we try to turn it off via the power button on front, or from the PS3 button on the controller, it won't turn all the way off... the screen goes blank, but the green light keeps blinking.
We tried shutting the power off on the back switch, and we thought we fixed it. It reformatted the hard drive last night, and apparently there was some corrupt data (which we deleted). However, when playing Fallout 3 this morning, it froze up again (during a computer hack, not during VATS) and would not unfreeze, so I had to turn the power switch on the back off again.
Now it will turn on, but not everything will load on the main screen. (Not the game, but the menu screen for the actual PS3). The little spinning arrow thingies just keep spinning.
What the heck? Has this happened to anyone else? Please help! Oh, and my husband works at a Gamestop and still can't figure this out. We'd really like to avoid paying for it to be fixed or for a replacement, since money is kind of tight right now.
