TV is working but no sound
SOURCE: My COBY 33" LCD TV will not show the picture
Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet. Then, try power resetting the TV.
Turn Off the Tv and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation.
If the issue still persists, then the TV requires service.

Hello Should the player develop a malfunction, unplug the player for 30 minutes. After that, power on the player and the restore function should Parental Controls - Press the right direction button to access Enter Password. Input the 4-digit password to display parental control menu. The initial password is 0000. Change Password - To change the password, input the old password - -> input the new password- - >verify again. Please remember the password since the player's reset function would not revert the password. System Lock - Set the system lock funtion on/off. Set the lock function On to access the parental control setup.
Your Coby TV/DVD combo is locked I thinks. Your remote model number may be COBY RC-056 and answeres
First do this:
reset the player.
If it doesn't help reset the set to factory settings after resetting the password. To do this:-
Unrated Lock - Set the unrated lock on/off.
Reset RRT - Restore RRT to the default.
[Set parential lock to OFF, and you can set it after resetting the set to factory settings.]

Check your electrical outlet. We had same issue with a different brand TV and the electrical outlet was the issue. Hope this helps.

Just white glowing screen/ It can be bad T-CON (blown fuse) board or it is not getting the 5 or 12vdc from the main board. Check the caps in the power supply module also.
