Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet. Then, try power resetting the TV.
Turn Off the Tv and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation.
If the issue still persists, then the TV requires service.

Your Coby TV/DVD combo is locked I thinks. Your remote model number may be COBY RC-056 and answeres

First do this:

Should the player develop a malfunction, unplug the player for 30

minutes. After that, power on the player and the restore function should
reset the player.

If it doesn't help reset the set to factory settings after resetting the password. To do this:-

Parental Controls - Press the right direction button to access Enter Password.

Input the 4-digit password to display parental control menu. The initial password

is 0000.

Change Password - To change the password, input the old password

- -> input the new password- - >verify again. Please remember the

password since the player's reset function would not revert the

password.

System Lock - Set the system lock funtion on/off. Set the lock function

On to access the parental control setup.
Unrated Lock - Set the unrated lock on/off.
Reset RRT - Restore RRT to the default.
[Set parential lock to OFF, and you can set it after resetting the set to factory settings.]

Check your electrical outlet. We had same issue with a different brand TV and the electrical outlet was the issue. Hope this helps.

Just white glowing screen/ It can be bad T-CON (blown fuse) board or it is not getting the 5 or 12vdc from the main board. Check the caps in the power supply module also.
