Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
Hello, i recently purchased a vga cable and audio cable to connect my laptop to my LG lcd tv. I plugged them into the tv, yet when plugged in, instead of the tv screen saying "no signal" it says "invalid format". and the tv will only show whats on my laptop screen when i close my laptop. but my laptop turns off when closed.. so all i see on my tv is (logically) my computer screen going to hibernate mode
plz help me
On a dell laptop, the key combo FN F8 cycles through the display options. Laptop screen, External screen, Laptop and External screen at the same time. Try pressing the FN F8 key to get the video to display on both laptop and lcd and the same time. If that doesn't work you can also change the settings on what the laptop does when the lid is closed. Check the power settings in the control panel.
