Question about Dell Vostro 1000 Notebook
When I first turn my computer on after the dell opening screen I get a screen that says unrecognized battery system may not be able to charge battery, press enter to continue. But the battery charges and works fine. I have tried removing the battery and reinstalling it but it didn't work. Anyone know anything about this or can help? Battery unrecognized at start up. I took the battery out to reboot and got this message when start up. Dell Vistro 1000 - one year old. Any suggestions...Thx
Are you using the original charger or another. The Dell power system will give this message when you use a 70W charger on a system that needs a 90W charger - check the sticker on the back. Also, if the plug to the main board gets just a little loose you will get this message. Be careful you are not putting too much strain at the power plug or you will need a repair soon!
