No sound capabilities. It has a slot for a cable lock.

I was seeking an answer to the posed question! It is not a "technical PROBLEM", just simply trying to understand fully the capabilities provided by the Monitor.

On smaller Proview monitor, model 468, there is not power cord.

On the Proview 468 and possibly the PL-456s and the PZ-456if you look at the end of the VGA chord that you connect to the back of the computer right in between the two screws is a power connector for a 12 volt power supply this is for the 468 I hope this helps with your dilemma on how it gets power. tjbraya@yahoo.com

Speakers are not working. I do not have a manual for the product. I am assuming that the speakers are built in since there appears to be no input jack on the monitor into which speakers can be plugged.

So u are using this lcd monitor with ur pc? been trying to look it around and i really dont think this one have built in speakers, u need to plug ur speakers to ur pc, not to ur monitor.

I have a Sceptre X7G Komodo II 17" LCD monitor/built-in speakers

You would need to connect the speakers to your computer. There should be a little jack on the back of the monitor marked audio. This will need to be connected to your soundcard jack for front speakers. Once this cable is connected you should have sound from your speakers. Hope this helps.

My monitor does not work right. it says vga not support.. its a proview 17" flatscreen..active matrix tft lcd

I suspect your Computers Display settings need adjustments and or a Driver from Proview installed...therefor if you can get on the net, I would look at FAQ's on Proviews Website, i.e:

http://www.proview.net/Support/FAQ_Question.aspx?pi=2026

hope that helps,

ProView monitor CY-465 Model 468

Jomilshe,
Your monitor not detecting your PC. Check your cable for any damaged pins or changed another cable. Still the same problems...Used another monitor on the same PC. If it OK! Then the other monitor AD board need to be replaced. What's AD board? It's a piece of component that you plugged your VGA or DVI cables to the monitor. Have a nice weekend!

Built in monitor speakers not working

Did u check with the volume button on the side of the monitor.
Also pls check the connections and also the volume settings in windows.

If they dont work, then try with external speakers to find out if it is a problem with the mionitor or the speakers.
