McAfee has deleted my software that runs WD hard drive

For a quick fix to this solution you should download version 8 of the sync software it is often not detected as a virus because it no longer uses the libeay32.dll it is also the same software so you dont have to resynchronize you data just place it in the same spot as wdsync.exe and run it. you can get it here:

You'll need to go to McAfee and request a patch. Then you'll need to go to western digitals' website and download the software again. You might need to login to download the software from their restricted area.
