Same problem, I have LG Vu and H715 and constantly disconnects and reconnects during a call, I have had other motorola bluetooth devices used with this phone and never this problem! I just deleted all other old bluetooth devices including my palm, and will test if that works. It is very frustrtaing because people cant hear and sometimes hang up because of that but it shows on my phone that they are still there! Please help!

I had the same devices and problem and found that connection quality was improved by turning the phone off for about 30 seconds and then turn it back on. Basically "restart" the phone. Hope you have the same success.

Hello Steve. This is a common problem with the H710, with no available explanation. I recommend that you take the bluetooth and your phone into the phone store where you bought the bluetooth and have the technician there check it out. Joe

Thanks for choosing FIxya!

To put your headset again in pairing mode, you must assure that your phone's bluetooth radio is turned off. Only then, open your headset's boom. After it is in pairing mode, turn your phone's bluetooth radio on, and make it search for new devices.
Hope it works for you.

i find that it will take my phone awhile if at all to connect to my headset if I turn on the headset first. Headset off turn on bluetooth in the phone, wait a bit, say a minute then turn on the headset. As for the H710 you can probably get the manual from their website to try reconnecting it.

after you connect one phone. go into phone settings and turn off bluetooth. go to second phone open bluetooth options. not put your h710 into pairing mode. once paired, go back to original phone, turn bluetooth setting back on, and both devices are now paired.

Try manually holding the boom arm open on the H710. Seems like the mechanism on these units for recognizing when the arm is open/closed is a little faulty.

Having a problem with my Motorola H710 earpiece disconnecting &

Your phone should work just fine with the H710. I;ve supplied hundreds of Motorola H710 headsets to corporate employees - every month or so a one or two of the headset are just bad. We send the employee a new headset and all is fine.

The only Bluetooth tech difference between your phone and the H710 is the Bluetooth version, the H710 is BT2.0 and your phone is BT1.2. If you want to be extra cautious and do a second test on the H710 - pair it with a friend's phone, I would make make sure the second phone is a BT2.0 phone CNET provides a nice list of BT 2.0 phones <--- see that link. If you find the same issues - call the company or return to the store and tell them you need to exchange the headset - if the HS works with the BT2.0 phone - test it with a 1.1 or 1.2 phone and see if that is the issue.

It looks like AT&T has the largest number of BT2.0 phones so you could even stop in an AT&T store and ask them if they would test your headset with an active phone if you can't find someone with one.

If you find the HS doesn't work with a 1.2 or 1.1 BT phone but the online store reports or someone at the retail store told you they were compatible I would ask for a refund.

Hit me back if you need any help. Good luck!
