Tried using the auto mode on the remote and it found code 075. Code 075 will turn on/off power and control channels and volume. However the menu, input, ok etc. buttons do not work. Visio is new and not listed in the manual.
Did you continue to go through the code search? Chances are there is more than one code in the remote that will work with your tv and may have more or less functionality. I would give that a try first.

You may still find a setup code that works for your device by stepping through the library codes in your remote. The following instructions will help you do this.
Set the "Mode Switch" to the desired mode such as TV for a Television.
Press and hold the "Mute" button and the "Select" button until the visible LED blinks twice.
Enter the code "991" followed by the "device number"
for "AUX 1" devices - VCRs or DVDs
for "AUX 2" devices - Audio
You can step through the setup codes for this mode by pressing the "Channel Up" key to go forward through the codes or pressing the "Channel Down" key to go back to the previous codes.
You can try out each code by pressing one or more function keys such as power, volume or digit keys.
When you've found the setup code that works for your device, press the "Select" key. "

If code is not on list do auto search for the code.
Automatic Programming With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually. 1. T urn off the device with which you want to use the remote control. 2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control (TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. The remote control is in programming mode. 3. Press and release . The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode. 4. Press CHANNEL + or CHANNEL - repeatedly until the device turns on. 5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code. Note: • To exit without storing the code, press BACK. • The unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press CHANNEL + or CHANNEL - after the device turns on. 6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.
I have a 37 inch vizio and had the same problem. After a little web research, I came across a suggestion that the LG codes might work. I tried it and found that the code 19 worked. You might try that. If 19 doesn't work for you, one of the other LG codes might (they are 06, 21, 22, 23 or 78).
I contacted Vizio the other day. They tell me that they use the same generic codes as LG. I have Suddenlink Cable, formerly Charter, so I still use the Charter remote. My remote only needed 3 digits and I have noticed that many need 4 or 5. I can tell you that the LG code worked for my tv. I can power on/off, volume, and change the channel. All other functions require the manufacture's remote. The code I used is 005. There was also 004 but that did not work on my tv. Hope this helps someone!
