It should be fine as long as the snow plow is made for your model mower you also might want to look into tire chains for the rear. One thing the plow will not work good for is wet or heavy pack snow but if you keep up with the snow it sould be fine

I'm trying to attach a Model# LST42 snowblower to a 26hp Craftsman riding mower. Was wondering if you had a manual for the installation & where i could get it

Here is the manual for the snowblower; http://www.odref.com/agri-fab/SnowThrowers/LST42.pdf
You may want to call Agri-Fab at (800) 448-9282 first to make sure your snowblower has the correct brackets to fit the Craftsman tractor.
Have the numbers off the snowblower nameplate and the model number of your tractor (it's under the seat)

How to see if a used snow plow blade will fit my craftsman tractr

Underneath the hood of your tractor is a silver sticker with the sears item number for the correct snowblade. If its a craftsman snowblade it should have a meteal label on it with its model number the 5 numbers after the period need to be the same with what was under your hood to make it the correct blade

Need instuctions on how to put plow on.

There is a fairly new sears site (as of 4-11-08)that includes all manuals for all sears products:

http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/prod...Display.action

Make sure that Scripts are enabled in your browser.

Enter lawn or garden tractor manuals as:

Type of Product:
lawn mower (or tractor)
Brand:
craftsman
Model no.:#
(example: 917.276081)

make sure if the model has a suffix (like 917.276081 or 917.276082) to use it. This also works for all attachments, and add-ons.

Mounting snow blade to lawn tractor

It attaches the the front of the tractor. Similar to a plow to a truck. If you don't have the brackets, you will need those, or make your own. You can see a picture of the brackets if you go to sears.com. Click on the PartsDirect link at the top, and enter the blade model number.
