Need to know what this error means or could possibly mean. I do not have money to repair an expensive problem. Please advise the possibilities of what this error means or could mean. Thank you, John C.

Re: LG WM1814CW Error Code "LE"
LE codes are extensively covered in past Fix-Ya solutions, but are generally caused by only a handful of things. 1. the " Load Error " can be a very off balanced load. 2. excessive use of soap leads to too much suds, and thus drag on the inner tub. (use 1 tablespoon of HE soap max. per load) or 3. the Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty. Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.
well without a type of appliance or a model number i can only generalize with a few other lg appliances.. le on a washer as pictured with complaint is locked motor error. a complete model number will help, or you can look within your owners manual or find it online through several sources.. best of luck
hi,le means locked motor disassemble the filter and work your way down to the macerator(steel chopper blade) remove it and see if the side labeled "this side up" is really up, its in english... dont think the chinese labourers paid attention to the warning cause i have seen alot that were wrong way
if it was installed correctly order the complete motor/sump assembly btw you do know LG d/w came with a 2 year warranty right? and some of the water distribution system had a longer limited warranty read your manual, it states warranty, then price the part, then call warranty depot to ask them their service call and labour to install motor/sump
This part taken from a LG repair manual: (Display Condition LE = Motor Error
Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:
Wiring connection is OK? The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. The rotor of Washing Motor is locked. The Blade is locked.
Check the wiring connection. Replace the cause of restriction. Replace the Washing Motor. Replace the PCB.) good luck.........
The LE error code means that you have a motor problem. The high pitched noise means that the motor sensor has failed and needs to be replaced. You will need to call a qualified LG technician to replace the sensor.
