Question about Xerox DocuColor 12 Color Copier

Error 9-363 Xerox

Hi Tryit, If I get error 9-363 is this a fuse problem. If so, the fuse do not look blown. One board has 4 fuses and another board has 5 fuses from the back. How do I know which fuse to check. Is it the rotary pwb? If so, which board is it? Is this a slow burning fuse? Even not blown still needs to be replaced? Is this correct? Thank you for your help.

Yes, a lot of black has ran through the machine.

Thank you. I changed the developer and it worked.

I am new, so can you please clarify. Do you mean too much developer in
the housing? Or are you talking about the toner cartridge? If I INIT
the IOT, where or how do I back up it up? When you INIT the IOT,
doesn't it bring everything back to default, so why would you want to
back it up? What does IOT stand for? If I clear all the NVM, doesn't it bring everything back to
default? How will I load the IOT software? Don't I need a laptop and
connect it to the slot inside the right panel? Thank you for your help.

Well I dont know how extensive you want to get but is what is happened is the Black developer housing has gotten to much toner in it and it is packed in there. The solution to the issue is to replace the developer material. with new. It may not be nessasary to replace the housing but that may also need to be replaced.

The problem may be still too much toner in the black housing. Are you still running high black content? you may need to change the dev housing with one with a larger waste despence opening or you may have IOT software corruption and my need to INIT the IOT but you must make sure you have backed up or have the Critical NVM backed up. or you may have to load IOT software to get this solved. The fuse issue is not what causing this issue given the information thus far

Receive H 4 error code on zerox 1255 copier-nothing happens, the machine won't turn on-tried switching power of for 5 seconds nothing happened. Made sure the machine was pluged in a receptacle by its self,...

A H4 code is a problem with the fuser unit. That xerox is a Sharp copier. You may have a blown thermister or thermal fuse or a fusing lamp. You may need to repair the problem before you can clear it. I believe the code to reset it is in service mode SM 16

H 4 code flashing

The H4 code indicates the fuser may have blown the thermistor. It also could be a false error code. Try this series to clear the error and if it returns, then you'll know for sure the fuser is the culprit. To reset press the following buttons:
  1. Press this sequence: CLR-Exposure-CLR-Exposure
  2. The display will go blank
  3. enter "14", press "PRNT"
  4. Press "CLR" several times to exit.
Give that a try and good luck.

Error 9-363 Xerox code

Yes Its on the rotary pwb. Its behind the IOT pwb. Basically at the top left hand corner as you look at the rear of the machine. I think it is a 3 amp slow blow but cant quite remember. Definately slow blow though. Sometimes if you meter them they can read ok but as soon as a load is passed through them the fuse cant hold the charge and fails. It is the 2 fuses that are harder to get at, may as well change all 3 whilst your there. The rating for the fuse is written on them. Worst case is the developer motor has seized, taking it off an putting it back on again usually remedies this, but its a bit more awkward to get to. Fuses first

Xerox Copier Machine - Error U4

The fuser is not warming up.
On that machine under the web there is a thermal fuse on a white plastic mount, it has one screw through it.
It is most likely blown. Possibly caused by a jammed paper in the fuser.
That fusable link needs to be replaced.
