First unplug unit,,remove the three top screws across backof console..now on timer knob remove the outer most cap or the center cap..remove the clip,,carefulf now theres a spring behind knob dont let it fly ,,remove dail...good,,,noew go back to console and flip it down top towaeds you bottom away,,jiggle just a touch now your in,,remove 2 timer screws from front ,,reverse to to put together...onthejob

Some agitators at the top have a plastic lid that has a bolt under it holding the agitator in washer. Take the bolt out and agitator should come out of washer.

This is the sign of a bad timer. It is not sensing how long it has been in the cycle. The timer is not advancing. Replace the timer.

Maytag Atlantis....how do I get the timer off the console ??


easy lau...ok since you have the console of ,,just go to the timer knob you see that round piece in center thats just a cap take screwdriver and pop it off gentle...noe remove that clip,,theres a spring under thre dont let it bounce away ,,easy,,now remove the dail just pull it of with your hand,,,ok see the 2 scerws holding the timer,,,orayyy,,if you need help im onthejob

If your timer has a gray rubber ring on it, the timer is in 4 pieces. Pull the top middle part out. Then there's a white locking piece in the center. Once that's out the other 2 pieces will pull out. Note: The photo shows the top cover removed. The locking pin is the white center. RanchMom
