Question about 3Com SuperStack 3 4228G (3C17304-US) 24x10/100 Mbps Networking Switch
I inherited 2 switches 3com 4228g (3c17403) for use in the local school. The problem is that the switch has not been set back to the default settings. I connot log on with any use, I cannot set the ip address, etc... The switch is unusable.
Can you give me a hint how to set the switch back to the factory defaults?
I haven't worked with these switches but generally settings such as ip address and factory defaults can be set through the Console Interface (CLI). You will need a null-modem cable to access this and a terminal client (Windows Hyperterminal works).
Hope that helps

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
