Question about JVC Sirius KD-G300 CD Player
How can I get my new faceplate to play with my old head unit?
Well, best and cheapest are mutually exclusive.
The best way would be to replace the head unit with perhaps the newer JVC KD-DV5400 which does have an aux input on the front. If you order from Crutchfield and use my referral number, you'll save $20 and shipping is free. www.crutchfield.com
If you want the cheapest way, I recommend using an iPod FM adapter. Here's a link to buy.com which sells the Belkin F8Z075 fro $37.49 plus shipping.
Most older head units cannot directly translate the data from MP3/MP4's so your head unit will probably display something like "UNKNOWN TITLE".
Hope this helps.
