Question about Canon CanoScan 4200F Flatbed Scanner
When scanning photos or magazine pages, long vertical streaks appear in the resultant jpg file or print. The streaks appear on screen, so it is not a printer problem. Text scans seem to work OK. I have cleaned the glass bed of the scanner (outside of course), but no change. Any help on how to avoid streaks?? I am using a Canon 4200f scanner and Windows XP SP3.
When scanning photos and especially magazines, don't go to low on the dpi (at least 300) and select DESCREEN as well as grain correction: HIGH
