I River Froze~won't scan or turn on or off

Hi,
I just started to play with this gift today and downloaded some music, and it played just fine with great sound. I was so excited, I downloaded Art Bell's coast2coast programs and then I downloaded lots of pics and when I went to scan it, it froze on 'Recordings". I can't turn it on or off. Where is the support page? Anyone know what to do? Is it broken (from the pics?? :p) Where's my ex when I need him!!
Thanks,
Lori

Thank you so much. I will try that now!! It worked!! Now, this may sound very dumb, but can you tell me how I charge it?? It doesn't work unless it's plugged into the computer.

Thanks so much for your help and hope your new years is wonderful!!

There is a small pinhole reset located on the left side of the iriver e100, you may push with a small needle for about 20 seconds and this should reset the device.

As soon as u plug it to the computer it will ask u 3 options..
usb + power

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

You can't delete songs off the iRiver from the device, you have to do it from the PC using the iRiver Music Manager Software that can be found on their website

Hello.
Try to plug it into the computer.

And double click on it (My computer) to get it update.

Music won't play

Some music services have a fixed-term license that they put on the songs - you may have to resychronize the Sansa to the computer AND the music service to regain playability. Alternatively, you could have a corrupt DB already - sad, but possible. The good news is that you can fix a corrupt DB by downloading the Sansa Recovery Tool from Sandisk's website. Good luck!

Zen frozen on one screen even after I've restarted it.

hard drive sounds bad. has it been dropped?
try to do a cleanup
  1. Detach the Zen player from your PC , and ensure that the Zen Sleek is turned off.
2. Connect the power supply to the player.
3. Hold down the Play/Pause button while inserting a paper clip into the Reset hole
underneath your player, beside the data/power connector. Keep on holding the
Play/Pause button while you release the Reset button. The Rescue Mode screen will
then appear.
4. After the recovery mode has started, release the Play/Pause button

It will display the following options.
Clean Up Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.
Does not affect music files themselves.
Format (All) Caution! Erases all content!
Save a copy of your player's content before formatting.
Reload OS/ Firmware Caution! Erases your player's firmware.
DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install.
Reboot Reboots the device.
