Hi stanw71
Before you remove or try to adjust your low and high speed jets you should always count the number of turns it takes to lightly seat the idle mixture screw and high speed needle adjusting screws.
Be sure to write the number of turns down on a piece of paper so you will know how many turns from the seated position to open the jets when you go to reinstall them, or if you remove them for cleaning or replacement.
If you have aready tried to adjust them then the adjustments below should get it running for you for final adjustment when warm.
Normally you will adjust your idle jet to 1/2-3/4 turn open from the bottom seated position.
Then you will re-adjust the low speed of the engine when the engine is warm by turning the idle screw in or out till the engine runs smoothly at idle speed, around 1200 RPM.
The high speed jet is adjusted to 1 1/2- 1 3/4 open from the bottom seated position, after the engine is warm.
Then re-adjusted by turning the High Speed jet adjustment screw in or out till the motor runs smoothly at high speed.
Alway use the "lightly seated" method if you have not changed the screw settings.

I'm not sure if you are a mechanic that works on small motors or not...but I respect the way you answered that question. When I see someone say things like you can do some adjustment with that idling screw but anything more... help need to take it to a dealer. That is absolutely ridiculous and it gats me more than mad...not everyone will have the money for that and need to fix it themselves. So appreciate your answer and with great detail. To the rest that need help with this or other things... don't listen to someone telling you to take it to the dealer a repair shop. You can do anything on those small motors.....just have to dig till you get an explanation such as this one I am commenting on. Good luck and if you truly don't believe you can't do it...then definitely go to a shop or dealer bur trust me if you take the time and get it figured out...then you will be able to help the next person that's dealing with the same issue.

I need jet settings for carb

I would start by gently turning the needles all the way in. Then turn them both out two and one half turns. Try starting and see how it runs. Adjust the low jet in or out till running smooth. Pull the trigger and adjust the high needle in or out till it comes up to speed and runs well under load. You may have to touch up one or both because there will be some interaction.

Rc schumacker fusion 28

set the HSN (high speed needle)screw i all the way then back it out 4 turns this is the factory setting
set the LSN (low speed needle)screw in or out so the screw is flush with the surround then screw in 0.10mm below surface this is the factory setting
now the idle screw screw in or out so you have a gap with brackes on set to 0.50 mm if engine dies open the gap more or if ticks over to fast close the gap more
hope this helps

Low and high speed fuel jet settings for McCullah powermac 145

Can't find the manual right off hand for a 145 for some reason....but...
The wahlbro carbs are 3/4 out from lightly seated on high and low speed screws. The zamas are 1 1/4 turns. Some zamas have no high speed needle.
Anyway if set the high and low speed needles for about 1 turn that will get you running and allow tuning from there.
Take care.

Base adjust. on carb high and low needles on carb polen 42 18" thanks

The standard setting on needles is to screw them in all the way and then back them out 1 and a half turns.

You need to set the mixtures for the carburetor. You will find a Low and High adjustment screw. turn the low adjustment screw out. You will notice that the rpms should start increasing. keep turning it out until the rpms start to drop then turn it back in a quarter of a turn. You may need to readjust the idle speed so the chain doesn't turn during idle. Do the same for the high adjustment screw.

How to adjust fuel mixture screws

Initial settings are 1 1/4 turn out on high needle and 1 to 1 1/4 on low needle. Once its running start with low needle, while at idle slowly turn low needle in till you here idle start to peak and start to drop again then turn back to peak then with throttle lever squeezed adjust high needle the same as low till you hear it peak. Good luck and if any problems or questions feel free to ask.

Wheels spinning when starting

The problem is your clutch not the slipper clutch but your clutch that is against your flywheel on the engige,What has happened is that the spring that goes around the clutch shoes has broken or came loose. That causes the clutch shoes to not disengage from the slipper and transmission, therefore when you start the truck it wants to drive forward usually it wont run or idle unless you apply the throttle. Sometimes it will stick in second gear and when you start it you give it throttle to keep it running and it takes off in second at a low idle.To solve this remove the engine and the clutch and i bet you will find that the spring is broke or came off.

If your slipper clutch needs adjusted usually you will apply throttle and all that happens is that your engine rebs up and the truck wont go forward unless you really reb it up and that is not good on the engine.

When revos are 2-3 weeks old it is common for the slipper to need adjusted a 1/4 to 1/2 turn, traxxas keeps them adjusted really loose from the factory that is why a lot of people have trouble trying to pull i wheelie with a revo.

91 kx 250 stock carb setup.

Low speed screw 1.5 turns out from bottomed. Middle position for clip #3 position.
I never rely on the factory settings for the low speed screww, set it to factory and keep adjusting it 1/8 turn at a time until idle sounds best and quick throttle blips dont sound "stumbly" the later being the most important.

The needle position is for low altitude.
