Hi,

Right on the desktop and choose Properties. Find the Power opiions in there and turn them off completely. It should be under the Screensaver tab.

Hope this helps

Monitor goes black after 1 round of screensavers

Windows version ? It probably matters. You might have an odd conflict between you computer and the power saving features of the monitor.

There are about three different things that can control power saving. There are settings in the BIOS of some computers that can control part of this behavior. Windows also has power saving features and the monitor may also have its own settings. Some graphics cards also have settings for this. So I think that's four, isn't it?

Biggles! The rack! our three chief aims, fear, surprise and an almost fanatical devotion to John Cleese! and the comfy chair! Four, Our four aims ...

Make sure that you have the latest version of drivers for your graphics card and the video display (and BIOS firmware, if you are a hardy soul)

You want to poke around and find out whether two of these are interacting. The first screensaver starts using one inactivity timer. The second phase or standby mode kicks on a slightly longer timer.

How do I get out of auto power saver

If your computer system goes into auto power saving mode you can get out of this state by clicking the mouse, moving the mouse, pressing enter or space. Try the wake up button if you have one on your keyboard.

You can set the setting of power saving mode by navigating to your Windows control panel and double clicking Power Options.

Under the power schemes tab select the time period to go into standby mode. Click apply and ok, when you are finished.

Take care!

If i leave computer on without anyone using it . computer goes to black/dark screen , can't perform any functions. also computer crashes at times during use.

You need to check your power settings. It is being set to go to turn of the drivers after a certain amount of time.

Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options Then change the power options so it does not shut off the hard drive.

Monitor goes into power saving mode when turned on. Doesn't go on when mouse is moved.

It's not on power saving mode, it does not sense that it's already is plugged at your VGA.
The only thing to test it out is to have another monitor/computer *to see which one is not working
But I'm pretty sure that it's a computer problem, Probably a VGA driver problem or a motherboard.
The best way to trace is to have another monitor/computer.

Also if you know you can jumper your motherboard to restart the boot system. any of these can help you
