How do i retrieve text messages on a blackberry tour

On your main screen, press the BlackBerry button (the one with seven dots) to go to your Home folder. Scroll down to find the SMS and MMS folder -- the icon looks like a cell phone with a word bubble coming off of it. Click on this folder and you should see all of your text messages.

There is an hourglass on the screen and the phone will not work.

Remove the back cover and remove and reseat the battery. Allow a few minutes for it to boot back to your main screen.

Then, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.

My blackberry will not let me click on anything

Usually the button membrane under the track ball goes bad. If you're out of warranty try to remove the trackball and push the membrane back in place, clean it if necessary. There is a Blackberry Repair Guide that shows how to open a Blackberry and remove the track ball yourself. Once it is open it's as easy as peeling the membrane off the logic board, scratching its bottom with a flathead screwdriver. There are also third party blackberry repair services that will do this for you.

Bought used sim card for Blackberry rim 7520

the phone number should be retrieved from the sim card or carrier login procedure.

I had a few blackberry's, including a 75xx series one, and when I popped in another card (I have a couple of prepaid subscriptions for testing), the number always came up automatically.

Should work... If not, try contacting RIM/Blackberry support, but I doubt they'll still give support for the 7xxx series models... sorry

Blackberry Curve is resetting itself for no reason

Ok, you have a couple of things you can try...first, Try to wipe your handheld and see if that will solve the issue. Before doing this you will need to back all of your info up to the computer. If that doesnt take care of it then...second... Download the new software ( redownload the software if it is already current) to the phone through the blackberry desktop manager.
