How do I get a file back that was hide?

Main Menu > Media > (highlight pictures) > press Blackberry button > Explore > Media Card > Blackberry > pictures > press Blackberry button > show hidden
In short, navigate to the folder where you hid the folder/file and press the Blackberry button and choose show hidden. you'll then see the hidden item in the list as a semi-transparent item. Highlight the item > press the Blackberry button > Properties > uncheck "Hidden". You can then go back and access the file as you normally would.

OR if you have a PC, use windows explorer & go to the Media Card folder where you hid the folder, in the Tools Menu- Folder Options- View tab- select "show hidden files and folders".
You folder will be visible (in windows) but slightly transparent.
Right-click the folder, select Properties.. uncheck the 'hidden' checkbox and click 'Apply'

How to Restore Deleted Items on a BlackBerry?

BlackBerry comes with special software that helps you manage your files. It includes a feature that lets you create regular backups of your blackberry so that you can restore items that get deleted. While you can choose to restore all items on your phone, the software has an advanced setting that lets you choose to restore specific files.
Instructions
1. Connect your BlackBerry's sync cable to your phone and to an available USB port on your computer. Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software. 2. Select "Backup and Restore" on the main program screen. Click "Restore" and select a backup file if you want to restore all items on your BlackBerry. 3. Select "Advanced" if you want to restore specific files. Choose "Open" from the "File" menu and double-click a backup file to select it. Choose the database you want to restore under "Desktop file databases" and click the right arrow next to it.

My blackberry torch just suddenly stop working the screen after 7days from my purchase date the screen turned to black while i can see the keyboard has lights.

It may be locked up. Take the battery out for about a minute and then put it back in. If it boots up and works you are fixed. If that doesn't work there are other resets:
Soft Reset
Press ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE.
Double-Soft Reset
Press ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE . The screen will go blank for a few seconds. When the screen comes back on, immediately press ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE again.

If none of that works a data wipe and reset is indicated:

1. From the home screen, press the Menu button.
2. Select Options.
3. Select Security Options.
4. Select Security Wipe.
5. Check the items you wish to wipe.
6. Type blackberry in the box.
7. Select Wipe.

Follow the instructions.

If that doesn't work its fried and I hope its still under warranty

It give me error523

Hi,to do the following, I hope you have a quick finger like the guy in Fantastic Four since you will have to use your finger speed to beat the soon-to-appear white screen and JVM error.
Ready? Go!
  1. First, turn off your phone as I suggested before. To open the back cover and take out the battery. Then wait 2 minutes (well, even longer to have bathroom break), and put the battery back. The Blackberry device will come back by itself.
  2. As soon as you see the desktop appear, you should quickly scroll down to " Turn wireless off" or " Turn radio off". This has to be completed quickly before the phone connects to the network that you are using. Hint: you can use ALT+scroll to jump items by row instead of one item by one.
  3. After you turn the wireless radio off, then go into your your BB browser (the globe on the screen for most). And DELETE BROWSER CHANNELS. To do so, just expand the section and then delete all the channels. Mine was only the Weather Push Channel on it.
  4. Now you can turn the radio back on, you should have a full functional blackberry device back. Is it a great thing not to wipe your OS instead?
Well, I know, sometime weird thing happens. If this does not work you will still need to consider to back up your blackberry and then reload the software from RIM website using your usb cable.
Here are the directions for these un-lucky ones:
  • Please go to the blackberry handheld software download page at http://www.uscc.com/uscellular/SilverStream/Pages/x_page.html?p=bb_software
  • Install both desktop manager, and the newly download handheld software
  • Restart your PC, with the battery out the back of the handheld and cable unplugged
  • Start desktop manager
  • Run the application loader software
  • During the connection screen, please plug in your device (keeping the battery out)
  • Choose the USB *XXXXXXX* or USB "Unknown"
  • Do no choose any additional applications for install
  • Click Next, then Finish
  • Handheld will be restarting, and installing the applications.

Hope that helped.

My blackberry tour 9630 is having a little clock spin around at the main screen and i cant do anything.i have tried rebooting it but it just keeps showing the clock please help!!

Do you let it sit for a while when you reboot? Sometimes after a battery pull or when the BlackBerry needs to restart, it can take upwards of five or six minutes before it comes back up, during which time you'll see that little spinning clock, and possibly the BlackBerry logo as well.

My son said he added a folder to his 8330 blackberry curve and now all the icons on the front screen and all other screens have dissappeared. I am clueless on what he did. He can still make and recieve...

From the home screen where the icons used to be, press the BB menu butoon, then select Show all and press the Pearl Button.

If that does not work, then download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.

Step5

My camera icon disappeared from my storm

you may have inadvertently hidden the icon. if you hit the blackberry icon button on the phone (the one that expands to view all icons) while on the main screen you should see an item that says show all. click on this and you may bring it back. if it does, highlight the icon and hit the blackberry icon button again and uncheck hide.

Blackberry Curve is resetting itself for no reason

Ok, you have a couple of things you can try...first, Try to wipe your handheld and see if that will solve the issue. Before doing this you will need to back all of your info up to the computer. If that doesnt take care of it then...second... Download the new software ( redownload the software if it is already current) to the phone through the blackberry desktop manager.
