Hey, Matthew here. If you go in to the settings of the printer and then advancd, there should be a head alingment options- it will print out some pages with crooked and straight lines and ask you to pick ones to calibrate it. It is very easy and should only take 5mins. Hope this helps, Matt.

My HP Officejet Pro K8600 prints crooked, how do I fix that?

is the paper going thrugh crooked?
make sure the paper is in the tray and the guides are night and straight.
if that is ok, look for something that makes the paper turn crooked by hitting it, such as a lost scrap of paper or a paperclip where it does not belong.

Canon Pixma iP90 - Jagged text and lines

The printer has a plastic band that runs from one side to the other. The print head has a sensor that passes over it each time it moves. The band is a little transparent and appears to have vertical lines in it. That needs to be cleaned.
  1. Remove power from the printer,
  2. Wipe it clean,
  3. Move the head manually to other side to clean the other areas.
Hope this helps.

Grinding noise crooked copies machine shakes

This won't be solved without a technician I'm afraid. It sounds to me like the fuser drive gears are worn ( it could be just about anywhere though), but this would account, in many cases, for the crooked , blurred print. whatever the case, there are gears worn, or seized, and in need of replacement. I would recommend calling for service asap, becuse this type of problem will only get worse and could cause further damage to the surrounding drive system the more it is used.

Printer output has shadows, blurring, streaks, lines, poor color

Seem like blocked hole(s) on the color print head...
Most likely if there is a deep clean option then do it (may need a few times to unblock a hole or never).
Also get the printer physically cleaned up if you can see dusts inside (vrtical lines on color bars).

Printing crooked, blurred, bad roller?

Sounds like when you pulled out the paper jam, you misaligned the print carriage. That would produce both the noises you hear and the print quality issues. HP.com has a few web pages on their site that might help. The first one deals with noisy print carriages. Unfortunately, it's not dedicated to just your product, but the steps should generally apply:

Resolving Noisy Print Carriage Issues

There's a separate web page available for troubleshooting crooked or skewed printouts:

Printed Text or images are Crooked or Skewed

If all else fails, unplug the power cord from the printer, wait 20 seconds or so, then plug it back in. That should restart the printer and make it go into a self test which may include a realignment procedure. Watch for any error messages on the display on the printer's control panel. Sometimes to realign, it prints out two test pages and instructs you to place the first printout on the scanner bed and then press Enter.

Go to the following web page and when it opens, scroll down to the section "Replacing the print cartridges", and find step 9 in that section for alignment instructions.

Replacing Print Cartridges

Good luck.

Brother MFC-210c prints some lines blurred, letters stacked - alignment ok.

i have the same problem. repeated cleanings seem to help, when i print large fonts they come out pretty clear, but the smaller the font, the worse the blurring. 600 DPI prints mismatching patterns, but 1200 DPI prints perfectly fine. so i have found that printing on "fine" quality instead of "fast" or "normal" quality improves print quality ALOT. it uses more ink, but i am in business and need to be able to read very fine print!

Horizontal lines

Horizontal blur can be caused by both a bad monitor or a bad video card/Card Slot on the motherboard.

The easiest way to check this is to connect the monitor to a known good system. If the problem follows the monitor to the good system, the monitor is bad and will need replacement. If it works fine on another system the problem is the video card/slot
