Question about Plantronics CS60 Professional Headset
I have a cs60 that i cannot seem to get working. when i plug it in no lights come on to indicate power is getting to the unit. the power supply is fine as i have plugged in a colleagues unit and it works fine.
I have also bought a replacement base unit off ebay, which agan did not power up. the seller has sent me a replacement but this too has the same problem?! is there somethign i need to do to power a base unit up, or do i just have 3 units that are faulty?

Make sure the headpiece is charged. Turn the headpiece off by pressing the little black button on top of the earpiece and holding for about 5 seconds. Turn the earpiece back on again the same way. You should have a slow flashing blue light on the mic boom. The base station will now try to find the earpiece and within about 20 seconds the red light on the base should be steady and blue light on top should be on.
If this doesn't work you may need to manually pair the earpiece to the base by pressing and holding the Listen Volume Adjust + Button and headset Call Control Button on the earpiece until the light on the mic boom flashes red and blue repeatedly. As above, the base station will now try to find the earpiece and within about 20 seconds the red light on the base should be steady and blue light on top should be on.

There is no way to extend the range on these as they are not GAP compatible so will not work with repeaters. However the you may want to look into the Plantronics C65 as this is GAP compatible and you actually pair it up to a GAP comapatible cordless phone which should allow it to be used with repeaters. I have successfuly hooked one up to a Kirk system some years ago and also with a Siemens C450 which worked fine. Most cordless devices generally will not cover 200m unless you go to industrial high power cordless phones like the Engenius.

First setup the headset as follows:
Note: Make sure that the cables are connected correctly and the handset cable is connected to the base of the CS60 base.

Plantronics CS60: Hard Reset.
NOTE: Before re-subscribing the system make sure the IntelliStand switch (on the right side of the charging base) is in the "_" position and NOT the "=" position.
1. Press both the call control button and the listening volume/mute button for 5 seconds. When the indicator light blinks release both buttons.
2. Press the call control button again. The talk indicator light will again blink briefly to indicate the headset is back to normal.
3. Disconnect the AC charger from the AC charging jack for 5 seconds.

One thing you can try is to power down and then power the headset back
up. The instructions are on the link below for the Plantronics
Voyager Pro, particularly the page "Listen To The Voice."

If that doesn't help, then you have a bad processor in the headset. It's still under warranty so contact Plantronics at 800-544-4660 x5 x5538 for warranty service.
