Go to this site:
Select your notebook model, select your operating system, then install all the drivers.
Not just the audio, the others are useful too.
I hope this helps,
If you have formatted your system then you will have to install all the device drivers. You will not get sound, display, network etc. until you install these drivers. If you have got the driver CD with you then install these drivers from the CD.otherwise you can download them by clicking Here
Just select your subtopic like Audio, network etc and download the drivers Thanks
Did you look in the CDs you got from your pc vendor ?
Look in the documents you got with the pc for the motherboard(main board in your pc) manual, if you don't have the manual
try to locate it in one of the CDs included with the pc.
The important thing is to find out who made your motherboard and what is the model.
Once you know that, go to the manufacturer website, find the drivers for your model( for XP of course), download it and install it in your pc.
Note: when you get the drivers, SAVE it in a CD.
