Not turning on

I have a new GA-VM800PMC m/b with intel E2200 processor. when I turn it on, I don't hear a beep and it appears all the hardware is operating but there is nothing on the screen.

I find if you don't hear a beep...then the RAM could be faulty or wrong values.
Some Ram uses 2 RAM slots to boot.Hope this helps.

Unplug all of your RAM, expansion cards and IDE/SATA devices. Leave only the processor and the CPU/heatsink plugged in, now try turning it on. If it boots, you should get a ram error, which is normal. If it doesn't boot, either the board, processor, or power supply is bad. Next, reinstall the RAM and start it up again. If it boots again, keep adding parts until you find the one that is causing the problem.

Hi, what you have not tested for isolation is your power supply, re-seating of processor for 20 minutes, cmos clearing or battery removal and mother board swapping. If all your isolation seems futile the worst is the mother board.

Gigabyte GA-8LD533 start up problem


My guess is that you damaged the cpu and not the mobo, done that myself once....unfortunate...it cost me an new cpu..

Intel processor E2200 LGA775 not working


This motherboard supports Intel single core Pentium 4/ Celeron processors, according to the asus website.
So your dual core is not supported.
You need to get a intel pentium 4 or celeron processor
