Question about Compaq Presario 700 470024-192 Notebook
Want to network my laptop and desktop...can i use a usb or do i need a card...by the way- how old do you think this laptop is?
Your laptop should have a built in network card and 10baseT network port, if your laptop does not have a built in network card you can use either a PCMCIA network card or a USB network adapter. Your desktop computer may not have a network card, you will need to purchase a network card and install the drivers.
To connect the two computers together you only need a cross over cable. If you use a hub you can connect two or more computers together using standard 10baseT network cables.
