Question about HP DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer
My problem is that when I install HP DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer, it install successfully without any problem but when I give print then it show error "There was an error writing to LPT1" and print doesn't come.
Well, first things first! Are you using the parallel port (the "wide connector" one) to connect or the USB(The small connector)? Get back to me with this info to continue troubleshooting! regards, babb

If you are printing off a usb cable, there are two ways to fix this. the simple one is to delete the printer reinstall it and slect the usb cable option. If you are using a parallel connector (large rectangular one) do the same as above but select LPT, the first connection option.
