Question about LG Studioworks 700S 17" CRT Monitor

Monitor is showing too much yellow

All of a sudden my monitor started coming up yellow...I thought it was in the monitor so I borrowed a different one, still have the same problem, have decided it must be in the color card, but am clueless.....my system has a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 - about 8 years old.

Since you tried a different monitor with the same results, it is definitely a problem with your video adapter. One thing you can try first is to make sure the connector is secure. If it is good, have someone open the computer and reseat the video card in the slot. If that fails you will need a new card.

Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Dell monitor starts well goes on a green light shows then it blacks out and the light on the front turns to amber(yelow)


The lamp goes "orange" when no "signal" is detected.
Check that the "video" cable is tightly-connected to both
the computer and the monitor.
Try the monitor on a different computer.
Try a borrowed monitor on your computer.
Try a different video-card inside your computer.

Monitor blue light comes on shows emachines logo and color bars then monitor turns off and light turns yellow


your monitor is beleiving it is not receiving any signal from your pc. 1 make sure your cables are secure. 2 make sure your pc is on. 3 borrow a monitor from a freind to see if your pc is sending the signal out, if the borrowewed monitor is showing a picture, hook yours back up. 4 if still not picture your mpcb or video pcb in the monitor is bad.

I feel your pain. I finally moved my pc to a room with no windows! But seriously, try a different monitor first. See if you can borrow someone's to just try it before you do anything else. If that borrowed monitor works fine, then you know what the problem is. (Which I believe is the problem.) By the way, what started all of your problems?

Same thing is happening with my emchine as well. Mine is a T6412 series machine. I boought this machine a year and a half ago. Suddenly one morning the monitor started flickering. At first I thought may be some problem with the cables. I tried with different cables. Same problem. then I thought maybe my monitor has gone bad. So I went and bought a new Samsung monitor. Even with this new monitor the problem remained. So, I am assumng now that the problem is with my computer and not the monitor. Can someone please help. I do not usually come to this site.
