No power to New Frigidare dishwasher

Hi, I have a new Frigidare dishwasher. I connected the power correctly (black to black, white to white, and the ground screwed to the junction box). I turned the breaker on, but I get no power. I tested the power coming in and it is hot. I thought that there was something wrong with the unit, so I returned it to the store and got another one. I have the same problem with this new washer also. Is there something that I am doing wrong?

There should be a cut off at the dishwasher .. usually a light switch or something similar that cuts power at the dishwasher only. Check to make sure that you have that turned on.

Where on dishwasher is power supply? like how do we connect to power?

You connect your incoming 120v supply to the black and white wires on your d/w. the black and white wires are located at the bottom of your d/w on the right hand side in a small box. You may need 1/4in nut driver to open the box and there you will find your white(neutral) and black(hot power) wires located
thanks.

MY DISH washer electric supply wires are cutdown and water pipe of dishwasher cutoff and i want its diagram input which is help full to connect the circut

Hi .. the electrical input to the dishwasher should be a 3 wire cable, black, white, green/bare. The connection is generally into a small metal box just behind the kick plate on the right side of the front of the washer. The cable gets run thru a cable connector to keep the presure off the connection. The connection is black to black, white to white, green/bare to a ground screw in the connection box.

I have a fridigaire gallery dishwasher model ngs5712as0

It would be cheaper to buy a new fridge or paint it if you like , so you would have a new unit and not an old one that looks new, and the painted one would look new but act old.

I have a GE nautilus dishwasher Model GSD4000N10BB that is white and I would like to replace the white door with a black one. Is this possible and how much will a new door cost?

hi, I believe it is possible to change the colors. I looked up your model # and found only black listed. I then changed the 2 end letters to "WW" and found the doors are white. If you would call C.E. Sunberg @ 1-800-621-9190, they will be able to confirm that this is possible.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know.

Thanks

I lost my manual and i can't fiqure out how to connect the dishwasher. i see the light that shows what to wash but the power buttom is not on

When you say connect, I assume you mean you are installing or reinstalling a dishwasher. With the power off, you always connect the black wire with the black wire on the dihswasher. This is the HOT or the LINE wire. The white wire hooks to the white which is the COMMON wire, and the bare copper wire connects to the green screw or green wire and is the GROUND. If you are using a pig tail (plug in connection) the common wire will usually have a line or series of lines going the length of the wire. Just be sure you identify the correct wire because a dishwasher will run with the hot and the common connected backwards which can create a dangerous situation if a short develops inside the dishwasher. Use wire nuts twisted on snugly and enclose all wiring connections in the connection box. Hope this helps! Ken

My frigidare diswasher is leaking from a left side black hose

Check the hose first - it could be split or damaged esprcially if it's old. Check all the clamps to be sure they are tight. Chack all connections to the dishwasher and drain spur under the sink. Check the drain trap fro any leaks.

I have a kenmore dishwasher and it stopped in the middle of a cycle and water is in the bottom. No response from the dishwasher, plug is ok and not tripped. Is there a reset button or not?

When the dishwasher stops in mid cycle and there is no console lights illuminated, then more times than not the thermal fuse has gone out. The thermal fuse is located on the power supply board which is located inside of the console. you must remove the console in order to gain access to the power supply board. the thermal fuse is white and has to wires connected to it. a black wire and a black wire w/white stripe. disconnect the power at the panel box first, before you start. you then remove the old fuse, by "plucking it up" w/ a small flat head screw driver. then you remove the two wires connected to the fuse and place the new fuse in the spot ot the old fuse and place the wires on the new fuse. any order of placement will work. There is a fuse kit that will handle the electrical surges that may have cause the fuse burn out in the first place.
