Question about Philips Magnavox 15MF400T 15 in. LCD Television
We just purchased a Magnavox 15MF400T to be used in our travel trailer. I connected it to the cable coming into our house to check it out, because when I opened the box - it said it was Refurbished. I wanted to check the SPEED channel, but there was no sound and no color - just black and white. I turned on the old TV in the same room connected to cable - and that channel was in color and had sound. We called Repair and they are trying to tell us it's the cable. How can that be when it's only 2 of the channels on the Magnavox? Any ideas?
Once a signal falls below a certain threshold the color will be lost.
some sets are more sensitive to this loss.
if you see static in the picture on any of the channels then the cable is leaking and needs replaced /tightened.
if a local air broadcast is leaking into a same cable channel on the cable you will get poor to no reception on that channel.
for example : he we have a local channel 7 on the air.
if i tune to cable 7 and see a weak or distorted pic then the cable is leaking and needs replaced.
