Question about Panasonic KX-FL511 Plain Paper Laser Fax

1 Answer

"DRUM LIFE OVER" KX-FL511

Same message when newer drum and toner from a less used machine installed. How get it to print the 7 faxes in memory since the error.

Then there was a 10 hour power outage, but with power back on same messages appear: 7 new messages, DRUM LIFE OVER, CHANGE SUPPLIES, and the date

Remove and reinstall paper had no effect, printing setup instructions also had no effect. Print was clean and clear.

Error Message Drum Life Over, Replace Drum

The "drum" referred to is the imaging drum which is replaced separately from the toner cartridge. The drum life is rated for a certain number of copies, and the printer is telling you it's time. Replacement drums are available at big-box office places and from many online sources. Just do a Google search for "kx-fl511 drum". The new drum just slides in much like the toner cartridge, so replacing it isn't difficult.
