Hit the reset. check and double check all connections. if it keeps giving you problems call alpine tell them. they might just have you trade it for a new one.

How to fix radio in 2004 durango radio won't play if i start engine without waiting for sound before i start engine. Now my daughter plugged her ipod in without waiting now it does't work at all

My suspicion is there is an issue with your vehicle's electrical system or the radio is poorly wired. It should not matter at all whether the radio is playing or not when starting the vehicle. If, while starting, your alternator is kicking out too much voltage, this could possibly put the Pioneer into protected mode meaning it would produce no sound.

I suggest having someone connect a DMM (Digital Multi-Meter) to the battery while you're starting the vehicle and see what voltage it's producing. It should be somewhere between 12-14 volts and after starting, be no higher than around 14.8 volts. If it is higher, get it checked by a mechanic.

I just put in an after market jvc radio and I started the car and then I shut the car off and then I couldn't start the car. It would even crank and there was no power to the radio eather. I unpluged...

Sounds like you blew one of the ignition fuses, or unplugged something. Double and tripple check everything you had apart and check your fuses.

My radio worked when I bought my truck but now it turns on but will not play any sound to the speakers

Park your truck in a silent place (best time to do at night) ask someone to get close to any speaker and in a silent place and turn on the radio. When turning on there should a slight "click" sound in the speaker. If there is a click sound then tune to other radio station and try if still no sound then there is a problem with your receiver circuit. If there was no click sound then either:
Your radio amp circuit is gone or
Wire connecting speaker are broken

You can trace the broken wire by physically checking the wire from speaker to head unit, if its fine then your radio needs repair.

You need to double check the wiring. It sounds like you have the system wired incorrectly.

No sound

Sounds like poor wiring connections. Also, if one speaker shorts out, ALL speakers will shut off, so make sure there aren't any loose wires behind the radio or at the speakers. Sometimes wires get pinched in the door jamb and create a short as well.

Speakers dropping out & engine sounds

sounds like your amp is bad

remove the amp and hook your speakers directly to the radio if the problem stops
then the amp might be messed up

if you got another radio try the amp with that radio to "double" check that it is the amp

if the problem is still there with the speakers hooked to the radio then you need to fix or get another radio

No sound (Alpine CDA-9826)

Is this a new installation or did it just start happening without anyone changing any wiring? If it is a new installiation make sure you have the remote turn on connected to the remote turn on wire from the radio(blue and white) and not the power antenna wire (blue). The blue wire will turn off when you switch to cd while the blue and white will not.
