Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Feature display is scrolling on tv and can't get it off.

I have an old LXI television manufactured in 1990 and somehow my 1.5 yr old pressed a button and it is displaying all the features of the television on the screen they glide down it one after another as if it is in the store waiting to be sold on display. Do you have any idea on how i can get it off? I have tried every button on the remote some are worn off so I don't know what I am pushing and it seams like this happened once before a long time ago and I was able to get it off by something real simple but I can't seem to find the solution.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You have turned on the demo mode of your TV. One of there procedures should turn it off for you.

1) Press the Time/Day and Control > buttons on your remote at the same time.

2) If that doesn't work press the Menu button on the front panel of the TV for 10 seconds.

My ECCO tv is locked<

Hello
Toshiba's Panel Lock feature allows you to save your settings on your television so that no one else may change them and only the On/Off switch may be utilized from the TV's front panel. Parents may find this option useful to prevent children from accessing programs containing violence and other inappropriate content. Once you turn this feature on, certain steps must be followed to turn it off again.

1. Press the "Menu" button on the remote control, and scroll until you come to the "Preferences" menu. Select "Parental Control and Locks," then press "OK." If your TV does not have a "Preferences" menu, go directly to the "Locks" menu.

2. Enter the four-digit PIN that you selected when you turned the Panel Lock feature on. You may have to scroll up or down to access this area.

3. Press the "Up" or "Down" buttons on the remote until you reach the Panel Lock feature. Move the cursor to select "Off," and press "OK."

LXI TV-menu options keep scrolling. How do we stop this?

I believe pressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons at the same time is what puts the set into demo mode. (It might be CHAN UP and CHAN DOWN at the same - been so long I'm not sure, but I think it's the volume buttons.)

ou will need to adjust that via the service menu. Toshiba has 2 ways to access it on various models I will post them both. first way
