New build computer wont turn on (ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe Socket 939)

Hello everyone, I recently bought a bunch of parts to build my own computer. all parts are new. anyways, put everything together. check to make sure all is secure. go to turn on.. I get pretty much nothing. you can hear the power supply start to turn on and the fans move a little, then its dead. I have changed the power supply 3 times. 380 watt, 450 watt and 600 watt. I have built at least 13 computers in the past 3 years with nothing like this happening. any info/help would be much appreciated. here is the setup. thanks for the help. . it didnt seem to help. I am getting power to the motherboard. the green light is on. I have unplugged and re-plugged everything making sure its tight. get the green power light.. hit the button. nothing. . I have checked the case hook ups to make sure there connected right and they where. I have even touched the 2 power pins with a flat head screw driver. . sense this can help that connection. but nothing, other then the power supply trying to click on. . thanks again for the help!

I have the same problem, but mine has been working for 2 years. Then all of a sudden, the button doesn't work. I have a green light on the MB, but nothing happens.

The ATX power supply needs to have pin16(PS_On#) to be connected to COM for it to work. When you press the power switch on the front panel of the computer, you are essentially making this connection. Check that the cable from the power supply to the motherboard is making good connection. You can verify operation of the power supply by shorting Pin16 to pin17 on the powersupply output, with a paper clip. Pin16 is usually a green wire and 17 is black. Hope this helps. -Vish

Socket 939 Motherboards are pretty rare. Basically, if you find any socket 939 motherboard, the parts you have now should all fit precisely since there are only a few socket 939 motherboards right now on the market.
Here is one i found.

Plastic fan housing over processor retaining pins snapped meaning fan fell off can i get a replacement and where

this problem happened me too. but unfortunately there is no replacement or spare part for this.
but instead of wasting time by looking for a spare part buy a new fan.
it is not too expensive.
for example i bought a "Cooler master Xtream" fan about 10 USD.

A8N32-SLI Deluxe - Can not Load 'ASUS UPDATE' fro CD

It's not you. Asus's program from the CD doesn't function as you might except. You'll need to download, ASUS Update V7.06.02 Install Program for Windows 2000/XP/2003 & 64bit Windows XP/2003 within Bios Utilities. And flash your Bios from a floppy. Than download the Bios version you want. Having trouble getting the file to unzip? Download again but this time choose a different site. Like (Global) instead.
