Question about Microsoft Office XP Professional OEM w/ Publisher 2002 Bundle (M04-00245OEM) for PC

1 Answer

Cannot show hidden text in Word

I hid several paragraphs. Now I want to show them. Word instructions say use the Show/Hide button on the standard toolbar. There is only a "Show" button, which does not provide for undoing a hidden paragraph. No help under "Format," either. No useful buttons among those not already present. Using M'soft Office XP Professional 2002. This particular version was, I am told, made especially for Dell. I am using HP. ??? The only other problem I have met is that the keyboard cannot be shifted to Spanish language.

Select the text you want to hide. On the Format menu, click Font, and then click the Font tab.

Note To view hidden text on the screen, click Show/Hide on the Standard toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.).

In order to display Standard toolbar:

On the Tools menu, click Customize.

under the file, edit, menu, insert format you will see the standard toolbar at the exterme right just beside Read, ?, box showing in percentage(100%) you will find and symbol just place the mouse cursor on it will show "show/hide".

Q) The only other problem I have met is that the keyboard cannot be shifted to Spanish language.

A)In Microsoft Windows XP 2002 , on the Windows Start menu, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office 2003 Language Settings.

I

Click the Enabled Languages tab.
In the Choose the language that defines default behavior in Microsoft Office applications box, select the language you want, and then click OK.

A message appears describing the effects of the change. To continue, click Continue and lose customizations

now when you enter in word document click Tools----->Click Language---->Language settings and select the language and click default and then continue....

Thank you

Remove page break

In Word, change the view to draft mode to display the break. You can then click on the break and delete. The show/hide paragraph function and outline mode also show the page breaks.

Im getting a symbol at end of each line and arrrows in every line suddenly.im afraid whether it will be printed as such while taking printout

dont worry, this is a feature you can activate in the program, to turn it off, go to the home tab
then go to the box entitled paragraph, then locate a symbol that looks like a 9 with a coloured in center with 2 lines, click on that and the symbols should dissapear.
Hope that helps

Cannot install microsoft office professioanal 2007 onto my computer. says a setup exe is missing. what can i do to fix this problem

1.Check if the location pointing to the source of installation files is correct. As for eg if the drive letter is changed , change it to point to the correct installation files . ( for eg if you are installing from CD and if CD is mounted in F:\ , then change the drive letter to F:\ )

Or if that doesnt work please try this

2. In windows explorer, under Folder and Search Options - View - 'Hidden files and folders' should be set to 'Show hidden files and folders?' and "Hide protected operating system files?" should be unchecked.

In Word, I cannot show text that I hid.

If you press the Show button down, it will show all text; if you press it again, it will hide your hidden text. To hide text, click on Format>Font and click the Hidden checkbox. If these do not work, your best bet is to reinstall Word; a file may have gotten corrupted.

Search code in visual basic

If your rows are being displayed or hidden on the form, the easiest way would be to use a filter on that part of the form. The filter would be based on the button being pushed; each button would invoke a different filter.

Make sure that the filter property of the form is ON.

My problem

This is a ENGLISH class, HOMEWORK PROBLEM, not a tech problem. However, you just touch on the most important points in the text. Try to highlight those important parts, then cross out the non-important parts in the original text. Then re-write the paragraphs. But the main thing here is to pay attention in class to your teachers. Then you will know how to do your homework assignments.
