If you are not able to uninstall the software from control panel.

Go to Start button>>programs>>accessories>>System tools >>System restore.

And do System restore to a day before you installed slideshow software, the effect will be similar to uninstalling.

- If the software reinstall fails after doing system restore, that is usually because some files or registry settings from previous installation had been left behind.

Often you solve this doing an ulterior System restore to an earlier date, and then reinstalling the files.

Let us know what error message you get when you try to reinstall software.

Jan 09, 2009

- Try doing system restore again, and then installing the software into a different folder.

You should reinstall your driver if you want to use this again. But before you reinstall this, uninstall your webcam software first. To do this, follow these steps:
  • Go to Start Menu, Click Control Panel
  • Pick the Category -> Add or Remove Programs
  • On the Add or Remove Programs, Choose your webcam software then click Remove button.
  • Wait until it finishes to uninstall the software.
*Drop me a comment if you have problems. I am here to help you.

- Reboot your computer after successful uninstallation. Reinstall the webcam driver after rebooting.

Jan 01, 2009

- Use ccleaner for that sir/madam. Here is the link:

http://www.download.com/3001-2144_4-10315544.html?spi=760e2be9fae322657bcbbf50ceb2db35

Steps:
  • Download the file. Click the Run button when a box appears to install the file.
  • After installation, double click the CCleaner desktop icon.
  • Click Tools.
  • Choose the software under the Programs to remove.
  • Click Run Uninstaller / Delete Entry to remove.
  • After successful uninstallation, reboot your computer.
  • Run your updated antivirus. I recommend you to use Avg 8 or Avast full versions. Either of those can protect your computer.
*One reason that your computer runs slow is because a virus is also running in your computer.

To stop it, Press Cont/Alt on left side of your pc and delete on right side. Cont and alt at the same time and the delete. When you see that program show up on the list of programs you have running, clcik that program and a sign will come up. Click END and the pc will force it to stop. Then press START in lower left corner, select control panel/hardware install. Once list is made and you find that program, click on program. It's window will get bigger and give you a selection to uninstall. If the pc says you must reboot, back up anything you are running and let it shut down.

- Please don't tell me your using Vista

Jan 01, 2009

- Do you have a hotline to Vista? Don't even want to turn you somewhere else but Vista is in a class all it's own. I have been given the understanding it is not user friendly but if I need to I will research this for you as more training on my part. My instructions were for 98/XP

to be able to shut it off just go to run type in msconfig then click on startup look for your program uncheck it and click on apply on the bottom then you will be ask to restart computer.Restart it then you will have a window come up just click on the box at the bottom left to not see this message again and close. This may happen several times but it will stop after you start windows 3 or 4 times. Its nothing to worry about its just what windows does.If you want to restart it later just go back and uncheck

Hi just want to say i'm sorry for all the bs that you have been given for your solution. What you probably have to do is get into the optons in the slideshow software itself to change its behaviors. I'm sorry i'm not familiar with this program so i cannot offer much help.
Again i'm sorry for all these so called "experts" replys. when you push alt ctrl del. select the applications tab and select the program you want to stop and push on stop processes or close program. Then you might get a box that pops up. Push whatever says close program. I am not too familiar with vista either but i will offer whatever help i can provide if the previos answers didn't make you ruin your computer yet.

u can go to add/remove programs and remove the camera software.if u hve already removed it and need to reinstall it again then just remove the camera usb pin from your pc then insert the webcam software disc into ur drive.the installation window will pop up within 10 seconds .it will give you the language options there.,click on english and it will go on further and open the installation window.click install and follow the coming up onscreen instructions to install.after that it will promp you to connect your webcam .at that time you can connect your webcam to the pc.pc will detect the cam and finsh the installation and ask you to restart.restart your pc and its done.

If you've tried to stop the program using Start/Run/ msconfig/ Start up programs/ and unchecked the program, saved exited and restarted. Then you should be able to uninstall it in the control panel.

Another way to stop the program is Start/ Run/ services.msc. Look for the program there.

Restore is a time consuming process so you may have to walk away and give it some time.
Check your taskbar (lower right in XP, not sure in Vista) and close any uneeded programs to speed things up. Vista is very memory hungry so you should have at least 1GB of ram. If you don't you will have these problems ongoing.
Let me know if this helps.

- To stop programs using CTRL/ALT/DELETE, under the processes tab look under the heading CPU.
(CLick on the word CPU at the top they will automatically sort top to bottom)
There will be mostly 0's there but there will be several things taking up CPU (processing memory).
Task Manager, Systme idle process, svchost.exe, are all things running you need. Your webcam software will likely be another showing non 0' numbers if it is in fact running.

You can Google any of these names and find out what they are and whether they are needed or not.
Microsoft and ElderGeek have a very good reference for these if you want to learn more.
This the most common problem for a computer running slow, too may things running in the background.
Regarding shutting down uneeded programs using services.msc or mscofig (in Start Run) you'll find this list under the tab of start up programs or something simalar to that.
Again Google these words if you don't know what they are, and most of them you won't be able to tell. It's well worth the time to find out and shut unecessary things down

We'll be here for you, let me know if this helps

Unplug camera or it will be recognized and reinstalled on restart.

The camera must be removed from Device Manager.

Then download the Vista drivers from the manufacturers website (if even available)

Run installer you just downloaded.

Power down computer.

Plug in camera.

Reboot, and let the PC recognize the hardware.

- As of today, there is no Vista Driver available. You will need a new webcam.
Sorry.
