Sounds like a voltage regulator. Have the system diagnosed at a repair shop. Sorry I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but is probably the correct answer.

Check with toshiba, they have an update on this link
On my Toshiba M105-S3051 the reset switch is a pin hole above and to the left of my microphone jack on the front.

The power supply provides only 48V (or what ever is listed on the back) but the computer breaks out +12 -12 +5 -5 etc and if that power regulator is damaged it will not come on.
Remove the battery and unplug, hold the power button on for 2-3 minutes, plug in ONLY the power cord and press the power button.
Most likely if you don't get any text on the screen the internal power regulator/converter is damaged.

Hi,
Try to connect your PC with the battery on the power outlet if it lights and charge normally. If the lights still orange, try to open the hard disk case and pull it out then try to put it in place again. If still doesn't go, try the memory card and clean it.
But I suspect that the battery has been overly charged. Try to look for another battery of the same model if it works with another and new battery.
Thanks

Sounds like it needs a new power source or motherboard. Since it is immediately turning off after the red lights then it's probably a hardware problem since there is no time for the software to do anything.
