Here are some things to try. I would remove the bluetooth adapter. Is it built in? If so, you will not be able to do this. If it is an adapter take it out and try putting it back in. Did you install new software? Do you have anti-virus? I would recommend that you do a system restore to the point of when it happened. The system restore will restore the settings previous to the incident. Now the next thing is to do a right click of the system and go into properties. Depending if you have Vista or XP the Device Manager will be in different spots. Look in the Device Manager and uninstall the BlueTooth. Reinstall the device. If the BlueTooth is built in then you will probably have to contact tech support at Gateway.

Hi, There maybe several explanations for the freeze ups,but I think the major one lies with your internet services connections.Whats the speed of the connection? How's the networks availability?Try this and see what happens:-
Uninstall and reinstall the browser[firefox]
Set firefox as the default browser. If still freezes;-
Choose another network for the internet connections.
If your blue tooth is Usb type try to remove and replug it again, then you will observed that there is a blue tooth icon appear to the lower right corner of your computer, it means your connected or check it out to MY computer, look for the blue tooth icon. Right click the icon then choose what connection you want.
goto start and type bluetooth in search...if bluetooth drivers are installed ull get some icons like bluetooth, bluetooth devices etc.....try clickin bluetooth devices.....n u can try to connect with ur mobile.....if it doesnt show anythin u may have to install bluetooth drivers....hope this helps...
If your running xp, make sure the netowrk card is not disabled, make sure you rnot using a cross over cable. use the cable you got with the routers. Try reinstalling the network card, goto dell support andenter you model to get the drivers.
1 thing to check. goto start ,control panel. double click on netowrk conections. right click on the main conection witch is the card in your pc, goto properties. andin the list internet protocol (tcp/ip) click this. and pres properties.
make sure in here obtain ip addres is automatically. and obtain dns is auto too.
Can you please give a little more details? is the modem still working? if high speed I am going to guess you mean Cablemodem, are the proper lights on/flickering? try unplugging the modem for 60 seconds and then plugging it back in and see if it reconnects. if it connects then turn the computer on adn try to connect then. if your computer cannot connect to the internet but the modem says it's online and you see the activity light is flickering, there is communication going on so there's a chance you may have a mess of spyware or malware on your computer. you can go to download.com and search for a free program there called "Ad-Aware" made by Lavasoft. it's a pretty good program i use to clean junk like that up. Also make sure your Antivirus is installed properly, working properly and updated and you've done a recent scan. other than that, I can't help very much without more information. Another easy hint, you did pay your internet bill right? :) did you try calling the ISP? what did they say?
