I received Model 783612 for Christmas. My husband purchased it from Craig's List and, of course, no owner's manual. I would love to see the space between my house and Heaven. I currently can see nothing through the large eyepiece and only close-up things in the small one on top. Can you help me?

Bausch & Lomb Sporting Optics were purchased by Bushnell in the 70's. Bushnell continued with the Discoverer line. Try searching Bushnell online for the product manual. They still have many PDF's of older models that carried the B&L brand on them. Thos branded Bushnell are identical to the B&L model of the same specifications and configuration.
if it's a smaller telescope you probably won't be able to see much through it other then planetary objects including the moon. The optics on these aren't the best but don't dispair. It will give you stunning images of the moon, jupiter and saturn as long as you don't use the shorter eyepieces. Stick with the 18mm and higher eyepieces if it came with any. Hope this helps.
I have the Bushnell model 78-4678 and also was looking for the owner's manual, but couldn't find it. I decided to call Bushnell at this number (800) 423-3537 and talked to tech support. I explained that the telescope was hand-me-down and needed an owner's manual. They are sending me the owner's manual for free! So far, it sounds like this is going to work!
